Born a woman, this performance with burlap is a journey which (if not physically) represents all women in the presence for opportunity. The opportunities to make choices, when others cannot, for the betterment of their societies. This may seem as a gift or a blessing for outstanding performances by women, but only a woman knows that the difficult paths paved for her require the instillment of hope.
Many women of culture have narrated dialects of challenging situations, which are now used to further implement education and empower young girls to grow strong and confident. In these photographs, beautiful Danika gives Haroon Ahmad, photographer of Elevated Moments are direct glare. The glare in PHOTOGRAPH A provides a stronger, sensual dialogue between the subject and the viewer than PHOTOGRAPH B provides. Even though the model is half nude in PHOTOGRAPH B, her look is softer as her turban redefines her sensuality to a cultural norm. In both photographs, the woman is placed in both gender specific roles. In fashion today, we see that simplicity has broken down the barrier between what is feminine and what defines masculinity. The same material, burlap is used to wash away the dos of each gender role and provide the NEW ERA movement for women internationally. Working women to the women at home. The woman in her social life to the woman on her casual 9-5. Styled by Sarah Hussain, Owner of Breath of Henna - Sarah has created two traditional, tribal looks for a modern, lifestyle photography shoot. Having these, fairly evident images portrayed by beautiful Danika, the burlap gives aid to those roots of strong-willed women of the past civilizations. A creative collaborative between new age Artists where cultural heritage implements morales for motivated youth. REPUBLIC DAY 2015 A PERSUASIVE DIALECT ARSHEEN REZA photography | SARAH HUSSAIN direction In the act of GAZE, the other does not distinguish between wardrobe and personality traits, but chooses to familiarize the other by features of the face. Sarah Hussain creates this act by substituting a woman in a, traditionally, South Asian man's role wearing a turban (head piece which is hand made by the Artist herself). No matter how you see it, I control it. A beautiful narrative based on a model’s conversation with perspective and ideal beauty. The bold gaze set from the model’s masculine posture reminds of us a Mughal prince who was taught to grace his people with a persuasive etiquette presenting his armor. This would display a highly compensating act of economic wealth and political stature. The off-white blazer presents a striking and bold personality and the turban a symbol of nobility. "The black and white photographs strike a perspective of history and timelessness. I love black and white photography because they speak the moment as for colour is a bounty of endless opportunity. A B&W is a pause in that spectrum of illusionistic creativity. A moment to reevaluate ideas and the choices we have made." This photoshoot is in dedication to those strong-headed women, to those newborns and devoted women who represent their society with grace, respect and overwhelming burdens of expectations. Constantly fighting in a world of turmoil of class systems and gender ranking. None of this shall exist if our women are empowered and their skeletons set abloom.
